Saab and the Canadian Defence Investment Agency have signed a non-binding term sheet establishing the framework for negotiations on a potential Canadian acquisition of the GlobalEye airborne early warning and control system.

The prospective programme concerns six aircraft. No final procurement contract has yet been signed. If completed, the acquisition would substantially strengthen Canada’s airborne ISR, Arctic surveillance and contribution to NORAD early-warning operations.
