Israeli authorities said commercial goods had stopped entering Gaza after merchants suspended coordination. Israel attributed the disruption to demands for fees and cash by Hamas; Hamas described the contribution as voluntary. Humanitarian cargo continued to enter, and some commercial goods were still arriving from Egypt.

ASSESSMENT: A prolonged halt could further reduce market supply and raise prices. The stated causes and the scale of the interruption remain contested.
