Event: Investigation published 29 October 2026; transactions principally January 2025–June 2026

A media investigation mapped Iranian defence-linked numbered agencies using financial, corporate and shipping records. It described imports of military and dual-use equipment through intermediaries and settlement arrangements that reduced cross-border currency transfers. The records cover earlier transactions, rather than only current deliveries.

Assessment: The documented procurement mechanisms may support replenishment and industrial resilience. Imports alone do not establish completed weapons output, stockpile size or serviceability. Shipment origin also does not prove government authorisation. Confidence: moderate on the investigation’s findings; low on resulting operational capacity.
