Iran released footage of an apparently recovered MQM-170-series drone and attributed its capture to electronic warfare. Specialist reporting identified features consistent with an MQM-170C Outlaw G2. The recovery mechanism and claimed reconnaissance mission were not independently established.
Assessment: An apparent airframe identification does not verify how it was lost or employed. Use to stimulate air defences for intelligence collection is plausible, but remains an operational hypothesis. Confidence: moderate on apparent identification; low on mission and capture claims.
