Fighting in Yemen has overwhelmed hospitals and disrupted aid operations affecting an estimated 800,000 people. The World Food Programme reported that about 600,000 people in Taiz depend on assistance while food stocks are nearing exhaustion. Medical facilities reported dialysis supplies for roughly two weeks; the International Committee of the Red Cross said some hospitals had admitted more than 700 casualties in a week.

ASSESSMENT: Continued access constraints risk converting shortages in food, medical supplies and treatment capacity into acute civilian harm. The situation is most severe where fighting restricts supply routes.
