Ukrainian forces have reported using unmanned ground vehicles to clear approximately 30 kilometres of routes during operations in the Lyman sector.
According to Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, the systems were employed around Shandryholove during Operation Vivaldi and supported route-clearing activity over two nights.
The employment of UGVs for combat-engineering tasks illustrates the continued expansion of unmanned systems beyond logistics and casualty evacuation into direct support of manoeuvre and offensive operations.
